The painting describes the ' morning after ' where the dawn arrives and departs leaving a wakefulness of post-coitial shame - as the remberance of sin pervades the reality of real life insecurities born of religous dictat. It is indicitive of certain culture and tenets, unlawful sexual activity more than frowned upon. As the lust departs only guilt remains, it seems so real, yet exudes a beauty of its's own.
