Statement
Tony Broadbent has had a varied life and that has been reflected in his work; Painting for 46 years. Self-taught. Primarily interested in colour and form as well as the abstract., representation of theme and/or angst.
He's been around the block a few times, sold around the world, exhibited in mainstream Galleries, the Mall and others.
Most recent is the ' Art in the rain ' series which followed and was inspired by the general malaise of 2007/8 when it rained both summers and we all - as reflected in the main stream media -berated the percieved ills of our British Society and got wet. -
That period has now been completed and I am re-visiting my old style Abstract & Abstract Internalism art due to the many requests nay demands that I return to them - It is a pleasure and thanks once again to your loyalty and patience with me. ( sept 2011 )
