In a Minute Abstract internalism. This painting is one of a series I did which has been themed as Abstarct Internalism. It is a self expessive style of painting where the artist attempts to internailise feelings by the medium of paint. Different to abstract expressionism where the actual action of painting donates the mood of the art in action - this way is the anti-thesis where the mood is none violent, overly expressive but the opposite, quiet, reflective, internal - perhaps a mood of peace, solitude and calm which transferes the mood in a different way, easier on the eye and feel to the observer. Effect by design = visual representation. Seeking degrees of seperation the two impasto colours battle for control causing discourse. The piece is a mirror of emotions and activity, it is a batlle both within and without - it dies frozen as time dries the paint.

An advancement upon Elements, increasingly more involved...extra techniques and discoveries in old media renewed. Not inconsiderate, the comprehension intentional and not accidental, less of an element of risk.

When all that you thought was solid and plain but find is as fragile as frosted glass and that the basis of your belief is fear of the contradictory then you will observe the enemies outside, those who are without, outside of your confines, outside of your good care.

Caged Beauty. Is a rendition designed to deconstruct both the perception and the classification of the desirable. Therefore it is only by the endurance of form and established memory of normality that an essence is still seen or determined through the maelstrom of deception and chaos. The form holds true of an organism which may bear witness to classical pathos, an all involving sadness and loneliness, one where the exterior belies the interior. Washed out image and marks retain a common connection with an external emotiveness and a personal internal appreciation of the abstract construct. What, is seen, is in the eye of the beholder. The painting is a philosophy with faults, it has constratraints and by virtue the beauty is caged within.

Progression. The culmination and a move towarsd final pieces of the 'Art in the rain ' series 2007 -2010 The series of works were inspired by the initial theme of liberation and painted outdoors in the pouring rain throughout the summer rain of 2008. As the work evolved, as the series progessed, this piece arrived, almost pivitol in itself, made to declare a major reflection, a major comment with respect to my personal addictions and the need for liberation, freedom from rank habituality and dependence. This large piece, as an aside, was later chosen to be displayed in the Mall galleries with two other pieces on behalf of the art campaign for the annual Suerydercare charity exhibition - though the full reasoning behind it's existence and meaning was not declared as the process was still wrought and fresh and not yet settled with any certainty. £4450 6ft x 4 ft Imperial approx
